Lazy Bear

A simple way to take control of your working time.
A dashboard project meant to resolve the problems of employees and freelancers in need of tracking their work hours or the time spent on a project.

The problem
As a designer without the medal of organization of BoyScouts, I always find annoying, time-consuming and not really efficient the fact of compiling time sheets or completing tasks in some “project management tools” trying to get track of the hours I spent with a client or working on a project. There are a lot of tools out there on the market, but none of them is specific for designers.
For these reasons, I decided to think about how to resolve the problem simplifying all in a tool. The best way to do this was to create a dashboard where you could easily set up your project as the first and only step, then Lazy Bear is gonna work for you almost independently.

Lazy Bear is the partner dashboard that will save you a lot of time and make your life easier. A simple and intuitive dashboard developed and designed by a lazy designer for designers.

No more waste of time: just set up your project and forget any more effort to track your work. Everything is gonna be saved on your project dashboard.

How it works

CREATE A NEW PROJECT FOLDER/S
First of all, you need to create the main folder where you will add all the documents related to your project. Folders, Psd, Ai, Sketch, Documents everything you will need and use on your project.

FOLDER/S ASSOCIATION
Second, open Lazy Bear and create your project. Name it and associate with the main folder or different ones you will use on your project. Once you do this, every time you open any file (sketch, .ai, .psd, etc) contained in one of these folders, Lazy Bear will start automatically the time tracking.

ADD YOUR SOFTWARES
As a third and final step, you will need to link some of the softwares that you normally use such as Skype, Chrome, Gmail, etc.
This way you will have the time tracked even when you are in a call, writing emails or searching for some information on the web.

Here are some examples of how the dashboard could be. I’m still working on others wireframes, optimizing usability, and setting up new functionalities trying to solve other problems on this idea.
So even if it isn't perfect (at the moment), I still retain Lazy Bear as a good project idea.
